RANKING and EVALUATION

In all WIDS World and European Championships the SYSTEM of judgment and evaluation is used that concerns the performance of each competitive unit, whether it is COUPLE or SOLO, which sees the stipulation of a unique RANKING of 15 positions for each category and class. No shifts, rounds, and evaluations with marcks etc...

With the exception of the WIDS International Open competitions, in which the classic competitive system already used in all federations and associations is adopted.

DURATION and EXECUTION

In all WIDS World and European Championships where is the RANKING up to 15, the competitive unit must present its performance for the duration that is determined by the execution of its choreography that must cover all 4 sides of the floor, ONE LAP OF THE FLOOR, for each dance. The ATHLETE or the COUPLE cannot perform a choreographic routine that covers more than 4 sides or that exceeds a complete lap of the FLOOR. In dances where the LAP of TRACK is not provided, as for the cha cha cha, rumba and jive dances, the duration of the musical piece cannot exceed 90 seconds (1 min. 30 sec.)

In all WIDS World and European Championships, the competitive unit must not affix any race number on its clothes. The evaluation of these events is made on the performance of each individual unit that will be distinguished by the relative names that each judge has indicated in his evaluation sheet, and that will be mentioned and presented by the speaker of the event.
